Dad’s memorial service will be held September 24th at 10:30 AM. The service will be located at the Prescott Center for the Arts (previously named Prescott Fine Arts Association). After the service, we will ride to Smokin’ Harley’s Steakhouse (in Mayer) for a celebration in Colin’s honor.
For more details, please visit the Colin MacDiarmid Mermorial Service event page.
I hope you will post photos of the memorial service, etc. for those of us that could not make it. Rest in peace, my friend.

I am out of state and couldn’t make it to the service, sure it was awesome, he had so many many friends. Bless you both and all of his friends and family. Faye
Colin and Ian,
It seems everyday, something reminds me of your dad. We were watching a video of some Country singers doing a “backstage” show and there was a man in a “cowboy hat” doing “cowboy poetry” and it made me cry because Colin so loved doing that and was so good at doing cowboy poetry. I remember going to a show with him and he did his show by a campfire and he was just magnificent. He was much better than the man on the television. I really am missing Colin when things like that come up but then I have to remember that he is no longer in pain and he is with the Lord. You don’t know how much you are going to miss someone until you loose them and then it really hits you. I know I am preaching to the choir. I know you miss him too. We all loved him very much. God bless you during this hard time and know he is at peace with God.

Just wanted to thank you so much for all the up dates. May God Bless you both and help your hearts heal in time. I’m sure your father is smiling down on both of you. I’m sure as a parent, he is so proud of what great men you both turn out.
May God Bless you and watch over you both.
I’m willing to bet that Colin enjoyed watching that procession to pick up his cremains. God bless you all….

Thank you for the update. I would love to be there and get to know you both as well as learn more about your dad. I think of you every day and wish you consolation as best as possible. My heart truly goes out to you. Think of this as an e-hug!
